Hey Homework

Quiz maker

Turn your notes into a marked practice test you can take right now.

What the Quiz maker does

Paste your notes and get a multiple-choice quiz built from them, marked as you go, with the wrong answers drawn from your own other notes so they are worth ruling out. No account needed. Sign in free to keep your scores.

Paste your notes, or name a topic, and get a multiple-choice quiz built from them, marked as you go. The wrong answers are drawn from your own other notes, so they are plausible and worth ruling out, and the marking is instant.

It is for checking whether you actually know it, before someone else checks. At the end you get a score, a review of only what you missed with your answer beside the right one, and Practise the ones I missed, which rebuilds the quiz from those alone.

More about the Quiz maker

Why was I wrong? on any missed question opens a short explanation in place, and it continues as a conversation. The sign-in ask appears only on the results screen, once there is a score worth keeping.

Notes work in the same shapes as flashcards: term — definition, a colon, a tab, or heading then meaning. A quiz from notes is built in your browser and costs nothing; a quiz from a topic uses a fast model to write the questions.

Why ours is better

1

The distractors are yours.

Multiple choice is only a test if the wrong options are tempting. Drawing them from your own notes makes every question a real discrimination, not a giveaway.

2

It teaches after it scores.

The review shows only what you missed, side by side with the right answer, with an explanation one click away and a retry built from exactly those questions.

3

No account to try it.

Make it, take it, see the score. The account is offered when you have something to keep.

How it was built

The quiz was built on top of the flashcard deck rather than as a separate tool, so a topic or a page of notes produces both. That is why the wrong answers can come from your own material: they are the other cards.

Marking is local and instant because the answers are known when the quiz is built. The only model call is the explanation you ask for, and it goes to a fast model measured on short questions.

Keep what you work on

A free account keeps your questions together by class, remembers what you have covered, and gives you a weekly allowance rather than a daily one.
