Hey Homework

Academic honesty and acceptable use

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Hey Homework exists to help you learn. It explains problems, checks your work, and shows every step so you can do the next one yourself.

1. Use it to learn

  • Use "Just a hint" when you want to finish the problem yourself, and "Check my answer" after you have tried.
  • Use the follow-up questions to understand the method, not to collect answers.
  • Treat every answer as something to verify, not as a fact. AI can be confidently wrong.

2. What we ask

  • Do not use Hey Homework during a test, quiz or exam, or on any work where your school, teacher or institution does not allow AI help. Knowing and following those rules is your responsibility.
  • Do not hand in AI output as your own work where that is not allowed. When your school allows AI help, follow its rules on disclosure and citation.
  • Do not use the Service to complete graded work for someone else, or to help someone else break their school's rules.

3. Content rules

Do not submit content that is illegal; that is sexual, hateful, violent or dangerous; that harasses, threatens or exposes another person; that includes other people's personal information; or material you do not have the right to share.

4. Technical rules

Do not attempt to extract our prompts, instructions or model configuration; probe, scrape or overload the Service; bypass usage limits or age requirements; automate requests; share accounts; or resell or sublicense access.

5. Consequences

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break this policy, without refund, and may report unlawful activity to the authorities. We do not monitor or report individual students' schoolwork to schools, and we do not promise to police academic integrity on any institution's behalf.

7. Language versions

The English version of this policy controls over any translation, except where the law of the country where you live requires otherwise.
