Refund policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

1. The default

Because paid plans can be cancelled at any time and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, payments for plans and tokens are non-refundable, except as set out in this policy or where the law where you live requires a refund.

2. Right of withdrawal in the EEA and UK

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Because you asked us to start the Service immediately, if you withdraw we will refund the price of the part of the billing period you have not used, calculated proportionally, and any unused tokens from a pack bought within those 14 days. To withdraw, email [billing@heyhomework.com] with your account email and the words "I withdraw".

3. Mistakes we fix

We refund the charge in full if: a renewal was charged after you cancelled; you were charged twice for the same period; the Service was unavailable for most of a billing period because of a problem on our side; or we end your plan without cause. Tell us within 30 days of the charge.

4. Discretionary refunds

We may refund in other cases at our discretion, including for a first accidental purchase reported promptly. Refunding once does not commit us to refund again.

5. How refunds are paid

Refunds go to the original payment method through our payment processor, usually within 5 to 10 business days of approval, depending on your bank.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we resolve most problems within a day. While a chargeback is open we may pause the plan concerned.

7. Language versions

The English version of this policy controls over any translation, except where the law of the country where you live requires otherwise.
