Subscription and billing policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and explains how paid plans and tokens work. Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the Service before you buy.
1. Plans
We offer paid plans, currently named Pro, Pro+ and Max, each available weekly, monthly or annually. Each plan includes a weekly allowance of usage tokens, which cover questions, photos, follow-ups, voice and other AI features according to the model tokens and minutes each request uses, plus the features listed on the plans page at the time of purchase. Allowances reset every week and unused amounts do not roll over. We may change the features, allowances or names of plans; changes that reduce what a plan you already pay for includes will be announced at least 30 days in advance and will apply from your next renewal after that notice.
Free trials
We may offer a free trial of a paid plan, currently 7 days on the weekly Pro plan, once per customer. A payment method is required to start a trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan starts and then renews automatically at the price shown when you started the trial, until you cancel. We email you before the trial ends. Cancel during the trial from your account and you will not be charged. We may change or withdraw trial offers at any time; a trial that has already started keeps its terms.
2. Tokens
Tokens are used when your weekly allowance runs out. They are sold in packs, are charged once at purchase, never expire while your account exists, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are not refundable except where the law requires. The number of tokens a solve or a voice minute uses is shown on the Service and may change for future use.
3. Automatic renewal
Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every 7 days for weekly plans, monthly or annually for the others) at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. When you buy, you agree to the price, the billing period and to automatic renewal in a separate consent step at checkout, and we send a confirmation email that you can keep. We email you before each renewal, including at least 2 days before weekly renewals.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing, in two clicks, or by emailing [billing@heyhomework.com]. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee. If you cancel during a promotional period, the promotional price ends with the cancellation.
5. Price changes
If we change the price of a plan you have, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The new price applies from your first renewal after that date, and you can cancel before then.
6. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it and let you know. Until payment succeeds, your plan pauses and your account falls back to the free tier. We may cancel a plan that stays unpaid.
7. Who can buy
Plans and tokens may be bought only by someone who is 18 or older, or by a parent or guardian on a minor's behalf. By buying for a minor, the parent or guardian accepts our Terms for that use.
8. Taxes and currency
Prices may not include taxes, which are added at checkout where they apply. Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or foreign transaction fees.
9. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom
When you start a paid plan or buy tokens, you ask us to begin providing the Service immediately, during the 14-day withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that if you withdraw you will pay for the part of the service you used. See our Refund Policy for how withdrawal works.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. The English version of this policy controls over any translation, except where the law of the country where you live requires otherwise.
