Hey Homework

Cookie policy

Last updated September 2, 2026.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on heyhomework.com and its localized versions. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

1. Strictly necessary

These are needed for the Service to work and do not require consent:

  • hh_try — a signed counter of the free usage tokens spent on this device today. It contains no personal information and expires on its own.
  • hh_did — a random device identifier that keeps your allowance and any pricing test you are part of consistent between visits. It contains no personal information.
  • hh_locale — the language you chose.
  • Session cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) when you sign in, so you stay signed in.
  • Stripe cookies on the checkout and billing pages, used by our payment processor for security and fraud prevention.

Clearing cookies resets the free counter on your device; we also apply server-side limits to prevent abuse.

2. Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand which features are used and where the Service breaks. It is configured without advertising identifiers and, for users in the EEA and UK, without cookies unless you agree to them. Analytics data is not sold and is not used for advertising.

3. What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.

4. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service, such as sign-in and payments, from working. Cookie settings apply per browser and device.

5. Changes

We may update this policy when our cookies change. The English version controls over any translation, except where the law of the country where you live requires otherwise.
