Hey Homework

Flashcards

Paste your notes and study them as flashcards, right this minute.

How many cards?
Try one of these
A dash, a colon or a tab between the term and its meaning. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What the Flashcards does

Paste your notes, one term per line, and study them as cards straight away. No account needed. Sign in free to keep the deck and have the ones you keep missing come back sooner.

Paste your notes and study them as cards straight away, or name a topic and the AI writes the deck. Swipe or use the arrow keys, shuffle, step back, and tap Why? or Tell me more on any card to have it explained without losing your place.

It is for the night before a test, when the notes exist and the time does not. No account is needed to make and study a deck. Sign in free to keep it and have the cards you keep missing come back sooner.

More about the Flashcards

Your own notes work in the shapes people actually write them: term — definition, term: definition, a tab between them, or a heading followed by its meaning on the next line. Nothing is sent anywhere to make a deck from notes; it is built in your browser.

Ask for a topic instead and a short deck is written for you, with six suggested topics for the undecided. The explanation that opens over a card is a short answer from a fast model, and it continues as a conversation if you want more.

Why ours is better

1

It is a real tool before it is a sign-up.

The deck works without an account. The ask to sign in comes when there is something worth keeping, not before you have seen whether it is any good.

2

The card you are stuck on can be explained in place.

Why? and Tell me more open a chat over the card, and closing it returns you to the same card. Nobody should be stuck on the card they are looking at.

3

Your deck feeds the quiz.

The quiz maker builds a marked test from the same cards, with wrong answers drawn from your other cards, so studying and testing are one loop.

How it was built

Flashcards and the quiz maker are one component, built after a review found that the study tools mostly sent people to a sign-in page. The rule that came out of it is now applied across the product: create value first, then ask for the account.

A deck written from a topic costs a few hundred tokens on a fast model and is metered like any other question. A deck from your notes costs nothing and is made entirely in your browser.

Keep what you work on

A free account keeps your questions together by class, remembers what you have covered, and gives you a weekly allowance rather than a daily one.
