What the Answer checker does
Paste the problem and the answer you got. It tells you whether you are right, and if not, which step it went wrong at and why, rather than just handing you a different number.
Paste the problem and the answer you got, with your working if you have it, and it tells you whether you are right. If you are not, it finds the exact step that went wrong, explains the mistake in a sentence or two, shows that step done correctly, and only then gives the full solution.
It is the tool for the ten minutes after you have finished and before you hand it in, and for the day after you got it back with a mark you do not understand. Math, science, a history date, a grammar rule: anything with a checkable answer.

More about the Answer checker
There is a second mode for when you already know the answer is wrong: Why I got it wrong. It skips the verdict, quotes the step that broke, explains the misunderstanding behind it, redoes only that step, and ends with one similar problem for you to try on your own.
Both modes keep your working in view, and both open into a conversation. Ask it to check the next one, ask for a hint on a similar question instead of an answer, or ask it to explain the concept the mistake comes from.
Why ours is better
It is built not to agree with you.
We measured how often a model confirms a confidently stated wrong answer: 14 to 23 percent of the time, on problems it solves correctly when asked cold. The checker's instructions and format were designed around that finding, and we keep re-testing it.
It tells you where, not just whether.
A red cross is not feedback. The checker names the step, so a sign error in line three does not get read as not understanding the topic.
The mistake becomes the lesson.
Why I got it wrong opens with one honest line about what was reasonable in your attempt, then teaches the idea you missed. That is how a wrong answer turns into the thing you remember.
How it was built
The checker started life as a separate form with its own code, and was rebuilt as a mode of the same component the home page uses, so the photo button, the microphone, the follow-ups and the free allowance are the ones tested everywhere else. A worse copy of a good tool is not a second tool.
Every check runs through the same measured routing as the rest of the product: the cheapest model that scored well enough on forty hard problems, the fastest one preferred, and a stronger model only when the question is genuinely advanced. Your answer and your working are never used to train anything.
Keep what you work on
A free account keeps your questions together by class, remembers what you have covered, and gives you a weekly allowance rather than a daily one.
