Affiliate program terms

These terms govern the Hey Homework affiliate program (the "Program") and are part of our Terms of Service. By creating an affiliate link you agree to them.

1. Who can join

Anyone with a Hey Homework account who is 18 or older, or a parent or guardian acting for a minor, may join. We may decline or remove any participant at our discretion, including for the conduct described in Section 5.

2. What you earn

You earn a commission of 30% of the net payments we actually receive from customers who bought a plan or tokens after arriving through your link, for as long as they keep paying, unless we change the rate under Section 7. "Net payments" means the amount charged excluding taxes, refunds, chargebacks and payment-processing disputes. Commissions are calculated on each payment as it is received; refunded or disputed payments are deducted.

3. How referrals are counted

A referral is counted when a visitor arrives through your link (a cookie lasts 60 days; first link wins), then creates an account and pays within that window. Referrals of yourself, of accounts you control, or that use stolen or fraudulent payment methods do not count. Our records are final.

4. Payouts

We pay approved commissions monthly, at least 30 days after the payment they relate to, once your balance reaches US$25, to the payout method you give us. You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn, and for giving us the information we need to pay you and to comply with tax reporting where it applies.

5. Rules

Do not: bid on our brand names in search advertising; send unsolicited email or messages; misrepresent Hey Homework, its prices, or what it does; claim it can be used to cheat or to bypass school rules; place links on sites with unlawful, hateful or sexual content; use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, incentives to sign up, or any technique that creates referrals without a real recommendation; or present yourself as Hey Homework or as its employee. We may withhold commissions earned in breach of these rules.

6. Independent relationship

You are an independent party, not our employee, agent or partner. You may describe yourself as a Hey Homework affiliate and use the name and logo we provide only to promote the Program.

7. Changes and ending

We may change the commission rate, the cookie window or these terms with 30 days' notice by email; changes apply to payments received after the notice period. Either of us may end your participation at any time. Approved commissions earned before the end date are paid on the normal schedule, except where Section 5 applies.

8. Language versions

The English version of these terms controls over any translation, except where the law of the country where you live requires otherwise.
